Victor Durnil, M. Coun., LCPC is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Idaho and has worked with individuals, couples, families, and groups since 2000. Victor holds a Master’s of Counseling degree from Idaho State University with emphasis in Mental Health Counseling and has provided services in private practice, community mental health, and non-profit agencies. Victor is an Idaho Supreme Court-approved Domestic Violence Evaluator, an Idaho State-approved clinical supervisor, a member of the American Counseling Association and Idaho Counseling Association, and a former member of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers.
Victor maintains a general practice covering a wide range of mental-health-related issues. He has additional training and experience in the following areas.

Victor’s therapeutic approach is client-centered, placing primary emphasis on the partnership between the counselor and client to achieve client goals of personal change or improved coping. He integrates techniques from a variety of treatment approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Existential Therapy, and Emotion Focused therapy.
Victor emphasizes client self-care, accountability, humor, enhancement of existing strengths and skills, and the learning of more effective communication and greater emotional self-awareness.
Victor is a preferred provider for most major health insurance plans and Employee Assistance Programs. He accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover Card, debit payments, and Victim’s Compensation. Payment plans are available by special arrangement.
